SEVEN STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER
The definition of prayer is “To ask”. That’s what it means – “To ask of God”.
- Pray according to God’s will
- We don’t have any right to pray for something if it’s not in God’s plan and not in God’s will for His Children to live.
- Maybe you’re thinking – I’m not sure what “God’s will” is?
- You learn what the will of God is by reading and devouring His word.
2. Pray the Promises of God
- Now, this Word of God was written for our admonition, to build us up ad to enlighten us in
- what God wants to do. All through the Bible, he was healing people, he was setting people free, he was blessing people – therefore, you can pray these Scriptures because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8).
- You can stand and begin to declare God’s promises.
3. Hold fast your confession of faith
- The Bible says, “I will hasten My Word to perform it” (Jeremiah 1:12).
- We must hold onto and believe with everything within us that God’s Word is true!
- Find promises in the Word and stand on them.
4. Pray about Everything
- Philippians 4:6 says, “Be careful (anxious or worried) for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
- There are no limitations regarding the number of people God can listen to at one time. He is all-knowing and omni-present – and he’s no ‘respecter’ of persons (Acts 10:34). That means that he doesn’t single out one person, answering each of their prayers while turning His back on someone else and ignoring them (each of them being His children, of course). NO! he cares about everyone and everything!
- Some people think you can’t bother God with the small things – but yet – when it comes the “big” things in their lives, they don’t pray about them either because they never built up their faith muscles believing him for small things.
5. Pray with Thanksgiving
- We’re to pray about everything and then we’re to thank God for it.
- John 16:24 says, “Ask and you shall receive that your joy may be full.”
- If you pray and then get up and you’ve got the frown just like you had before you got on your knees….that’s wrong! This is why we thank God “Lord, Thank You that the answer’s on the way! Thank You, Lord that you’ve delivered me! Thank You, Lord, for watching over my family! Thank You, Lord, for providing for me! In the Name of Jesus!” Oh Hallelujah!
6. Pray in the Holy Spirit
- When you begin to pray in the Spirit, the Bible teaches in the book of Romans, chapter 8, you are praying in the perfect will of God. Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought”. But the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” That word “groanings” means ‘words that are not in our regular language’.
7. Pray with Fasting and Seed Planting
- “As long as the earth remains, there is seed time and harvest.” (genesis 8:22). When you pray and you’ve got a need – plant a seed. ( A seed is something that is yours that you give to another who needs it. This can be money, or something material that is a sacrifice for you to give.)
- When you see obstacles and troubles begin to come ad there are hindrances to your prayers – begin to fast.
- Our ministry can provide materials on this subject. Fasting can be dangerous if not done correctly.
Now, wherever you are as you read this, receive this prayer into your life and heart:
I come against oppression, against discouragement, against every element that’s held back your prayers from being answered and in the Name of Jesus, I rebuke it for the Glory of God. I BIND it in the Name of Jesus. I come against it for the Glory of Christ Jesus! Devil – you’re a LIAR. Take your hands off the people of God. Hallelujah, in Jesus’ Name. take your hands off their minds and off their spirits, in Jesus’ name. father, I declare great answers to prayer for everyone reading this right now. It’s in the Holy and matchless Name of Jesus Christ our Lord I pray – Amen!
Right now, if at all possible, I want you to kneel right where you are and talk to God for at least 5 minutes. God bless you.
